
The American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director in Cincinnati to generate revenue for the Go Red for Women fundraising campaign, including the signature Go Red for Women Luncheon.
This is a full-time, field-based position on a hybrid schedule. The role carries a base salary with an incentive of up to 25 percent of base pay, tied to revenue targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations, and achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors, through research matched to campaign goals and the Association's mission.
Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-event volunteers.
Lead and engage new individual membership for the Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other fundraising staff, including planning and running regular engagement events for members.
Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners, and work with a Communications Director to support campaign communication plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales or a related field.
University or college degree, or equivalent experience.
Ability to travel locally up to 70 percent of the time, with some overnight trips, and reliable transportation available on an immediate basis.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED
- Experience managing and cultivating leaders at C-suite level, and knowledge of corporate and community networks.
