
Community Event Sales Representative
About the Opportunity
Looking for a flexible role where you can meet new people, attend exciting community events, and make a meaningful impact? PawsAbilities is seeking energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Community Event Sales Representative to represent our mission at festivals, farmers markets, corporate events, pop-up shops, and community gatherings throughout the Kansas City metro area. This is more than a retail or event position. Every sale helps create employment and training opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Community Event Sales Representative, you will play a key role in growing our impact while creating memorable experiences for customers and trainees alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Pickup of products, inventory, and event supplies from Inclusion Connections headquarters.
- Transport materials safely and arrive prepared for scheduled events.
- Set up and maintain attractive product displays and event booths.
- Welcome customers and share the PawsAbilities story and mission.
- Answer basic product questions and create a positive customer experience.
- Process transactions using Shopify point-of-sale tools.
- Tear down and return all products and materials after events.

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry 30 to 40 pounds.
- Availability for weekend and occasional evening events.
- Comfort using technology and point-of-sale systems (training provided).
- Ability to pass background screening.
- Experience in retail, events, customer service, or nonprofit outreach is preferred but not required.
Salary
This is a flexible, contract-based opportunity with events scheduled throughout the year. Additional opportunities may be available during holiday seasons, festivals, and peak event periods. Contractors are compensated at a rate of $17.00 per hour for approved event time. Approved contractors age 21+ with a clean driving record may be eligible to transport materials using an Inclusion Connections vehicle, subject to availability and operational approval.
