nourish.NJ is seeking a dynamic and creative Non-Profit Development Associate to join our Development team. This role is ideal for a skilled communicator who is passionate about storytelling, community engagement, and supporting our mission to create lasting solutions to hunger, homelessness, and poverty.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging content across all digital platforms, including social media, email, and website.

Manage and update website using Wix.

Create compelling designs and visual assets using Canva.

Craft clear, persuasive written materials including newsletters, donor communications, press releases, and campaign messaging.

Collaborate with program staff to gather stories, photos, and real-time content.

Track and analyze communication metrics to inform strategy.

Support Development team projects and events as needed. Experience with online auction platforms preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in communications, fundraising, marketing, content creation, or a related field.

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Writing sample required.

High proficiency using a CRM system; DonorPerfect strongly preferred.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

High proficiency in Canva, Wix, and all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok).

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and ability to work independently.

Work Environment

This role is on-site at our vibrant Dover location, working closely with a passionate, mission-driven team. May require occasional evenings or weekends. Valid driver’s license required.
