General Duties:
The Advancement Manager supports Groundwork Ohio’s statewide mission by helping grow and steward the philanthropic resources that make our work possible. Reporting to the President & CEO, this position serves as a key operational hub for the organization’s fundraising efforts, with a primary focus on individual and institutional giving, donor cultivation and stewardship, grant management, advancement operations, and fundraising strategy.
Qualifying Characteristics:

- Strong relationship-building skills and a donor-centered approach
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
- Initiative, curiosity, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
- Ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, mission-driven environment
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public affairs, business, marketing, or a related field
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising, advancement, development operations, or philanthropy
- Demonstrated experience with individual donor cultivation and stewardship
- Experience supporting foundation grant development and reporting
- Strong CRM/database management experience; EveryAction preferred
- Experience preparing fundraising reports, dashboards, and analytics
- Experience working with executive leadership and nonprofit boards preferred
- Knowledge of Ohio’s philanthropic community preferred
Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000
