Head of Emerging Technology and Security Initiative

This is a 5-year term-limited position at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation responsible for designing and executing a $100 million grantmaking portfolio. Key duties include developing strategy for the Emerging Technology and Security Initiative, managing grantmaking, mapping the field, cultivating partnerships, and providing thought leadership on the risks and governance of advanced technologies (e.g., AI, biotechnology, and quantum computing). Candidates should have 10-15 years of relevant experience. Compensation includes an additional housing stipend of $3,125 per month and a 403b contribution package totaling 15%.
