After her 9th-grade battle with mental health, Siya Dighe (Founder & Chief Executive Officer of South Asian United Nexus) has been committed to shaping S.U.N into the aspiring 501(c)(3) nonprofit that actively reduces the stigma surrounding mental health in South Asian communities through advocacy, education, and intergenerational dialogue. Our service programs include the Mental Health Campaign, Parental Insight Workshops, and the Mentor Bridge Program (which are expanded on later in the presentation). As of 2026, what we need to change the narrative around South Asian mental health is passionate, youth-led leadership. That includes those who are not South Asian. We’re excited to work with all the future leaders of S.U.N!
