Overview
In this role you drive professional development and member engagement for Fellows-in-Training and early-to-mid career members within the Professional Membership team. You will partner with teams to shape education programs and member journeys that boost engagement, conversion, and retention. You'll lead volunteer committees, manage program timelines, and coordinate across departments to deliver impactful experiences. This is a mission-driven opportunity to support cardiovascular health by shaping member experiences and education at scale.

Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with cardiology fellows and program directors to grow participation and membership
- Collaborate with field colleagues to assess training needs of fellows
- Improve conversion of Fellows-in-Training to paid early career members post-program
- Partner with content leads to plan and execute high-quality professional education programs (in-person and virtual)
- Manage logistics and registration for committee meetings and teleconferences
- Implement processes for nominating/electing committee members and submitting AHA positions
- Support navigation, engagement, and career growth of Fellows within the Association
- Lead and staff the COC Early Career and Mid-Career Committees
- Manage development programming for Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference
- Oversee project timelines, deadlines, and cross-team communication
- Establish trusted communication with volunteers and anticipate needs
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a professional setting (preferably science/medical association)
- Experience working with science/clinical volunteers
- Interest in virtual learning techniques
- Strong training and communication skills with healthcare professionals
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead and grow programs
- Ability to meet deadlines independently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong customer service skills
- Willingness to travel overnight 10% of time
- Preferred: non-profit experience, Fellow-in-Training experience, MBA or graduate degree
