Request for Proposal:

ArtStart Website Redesign Project Overview ArtStart is seeking proposals from web developers/designers for a comprehensive redesign of the artstart.org website. The objective of this project is to transition ArtStart's online presence into a dynamic, user-centric, and conversion-focused marketing tool that drives community engagement, program registration, donations, and store visits. Key project milestones and deadlines are as follows:

• Final Draft for Review February 5, 2027
• Public Launch February 19, 2027

Scope of Work

Design & UX Modernization

• Clean and Modern Design: Redesign site with modern, standard-compliant HTML5/CSS3 components.
• Mobile Responsive Architecture: Ensure seamless functionality, typography scaling, and touch-friendly navigation across modern mobile, tablet, and desktop.
• Accessibility Compliance: Implement full accessibility standard best practices, including keyboard navigation, ARIA labels, semantic markup, and high-contrast text.
• Action-Driven Navigation: Simplify user journeys to maximize key conversion metrics (camp and class signups, donations, store visits, and educator bookings).

Updated Homepage Architecture

• Sticky Header: Persistent top navigation bar containing primary links and a prominent call-to-action button.
• Seasonal Hero Section: A dynamic banner area configured to highlight seasonal priorities (e.g., Summer Camp registration launch).
• Mini-Features Block: Highlight key organizational pillars directly on the homepage (ArtScraps store, upcoming class and camps, and community events).
• Email Capture System: Integrated newsletter sign-up module to support ongoing donor and participant re-engagement.
• Comprehensive Footer: Standard secondary navigation, contact information, social links, and physical address details.
• Funder Acknowledgments: Dedicated, visually distinct section in the site footer to acknowledge key sponsors and grant funders.

Client-Provided Assets

• All copywriting, photography, and brand guidelines will be provided by ArtStart and delivered to the selected designer/developer.

The redesigned site will adopt a streamlined architecture designed to shorten time-to-task for visitors.

Backend & Maintenance Requirements

Content Management

Implement an easy-to-use publishing workflow within the CMS allowing non-technical staff to quickly post content. Designer/developer available for more complex updates.

Conversion Tracking & SEO Infrastructure

• Integrate Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager for event tracking (clicks, form completions, outbound registration tracking).
• Set up foundational technical SEO, including automated XML sitemaps, structured metadata capabilities, and clean URL redirects from old site pages.

Ongoing Maintenance

• Provide training sessions and documentation to guarantee complete internal staff access for content additions and routine modifications.
• Provide services as needed for more design-heavy requests.

Proposal Submission Details

Interested parties should submit their proposals electronically no later than November 13, 2026. Proposals should include:

• Designer/developer overview and relevant portfolio samples (specifically non-profit, arts, or educational work, if available).
• Proposed technical architecture and CMS recommendation.
• Detailed timeline matching the target completion date of Feb. 19, 2027. ● Itemized cost breakdown covering design, development, content migration, initial training, and ongoing rate for back-end management and design updates as needed.
