Do you believe in second chances and the power of community?
The Barre Community Justice Center is seeking a Restorative Programs Specialist (24 hours/week) to coordinate our Circles of Support and Accountability (COSA) and support individuals returning to the community after incarceration.
This meaningful role combines relationship-building with accountability. Responsibilities include managing cases and meetings, supporting participants, recruiting and training community volunteers, co-facilitating Safe Driving programming, and providing coverage for Restorative Justice panels when needed.
We’re looking for someone with strong communication and organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build trusting relationships while balancing compassion with accountability. This role may be a great fit for someone seeking meaningful part-time work that fits their life. A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant professional experience is preferred. Experience in restorative justice, reentry, criminal justice, and/or volunteer coordination is preferred.
If you’re ready to put your skills to work supporting personal growth and stronger communities, we’d love to hear from you! Contact: Jeannie MacLeod at jmacleod@barrecjc with your interest, any questions you may have and to request a full job description. Pay to commensurate with experience, paid time off. EOE
