THE ROLE

As the Finance Manager at Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas, you will play a key role in supporting the financial, donor operations and data processes that help make wishes possible. In this role, your attention to detail, analytical mindset and commitment to accuracy will help ensure that charitable contributions are processed with care, donor records are maintained with integrity, and financial information is organized, reliable and ready to support important chapter decisions.

This position is an opportunity to bring together finance operations, Salesforce administration, reporting and process improvement in support of a mission that changes lives. You will help strengthen the systems and information that allow our team to steward donor generosity, support fundraising activity and advance our work across Missouri and Kansas.

WHERE YOU COME IN

As the Finance Manager at Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas, some of your key responsibilities will include:

    • Processing and reconciling charitable contributions, while helping ensure donor gifts are accurately recorded and aligned with chapter financial processes.

    • Managing Salesforce batch processing and maintaining clean, accurate donor and constituent records.

    • Supporting donor acknowledgments, correspondence and donor inquiries with professionalism and care.

    • Maintaining donor and constituent database integrity, including accounts, contacts, campaigns and opportunities.

    • Performing data cleanup and ongoing database maintenance to support accurate reporting and strong organizational decision-making.

    • Creating reports and dashboards, while supporting user reporting requests across the chapter.

    • Reconciling fundraising revenue between Salesforce and NetSuite to support accurate financial records.

    • Logging ACH transactions, managing weekly payment processing and supporting month-end financial activities.

    • Preparing audit documentation and helping maintain internal controls and financial policies.

    • Generating recurring operational reports and supporting KPI tracking, dashboard maintenance, forecasting and budgeting activities.

    • Analyzing fundraising and revenue trends to help inform planning, reporting and operational improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, business administration or a related field.

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in finance, donor operations or CRM administration.

    • Salesforce experience required.

    • Advanced Excel proficiency.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity, confidentiality and accuracy.

    • Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly and provide strong internal and external customer service.

    • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to support process improvements, reporting needs and organizational planning.
