Partnership Resources, Inc. is seeking apart-timeDirect Support Professional (DSP)to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our day program. DSPs are key advocates who foster joyful living by supporting individual choice, skilldevelopmentand community exploration.This part-time DSP- Assistant position is an entry level role focused on providing flexible, hands-on supportwith activitiesin a classroom setting.

As a DSP - Assistant, you will:

• Assistwithrecreation,leisureand skill-building activitiesin a collaborative, team environment.We do everything! BINGO, karaoke, music therapy, job readiness,math,reading, healthy living,artand social skills are just a few examples

• Accompany individuals on field trips and to volunteer sites –assistingpeople to explore and connect with their community in an inclusive way

• Support individuals using person-centered strategies in order to help people achieve goals and self-advocate

Pay:$16.50per hour

Schedule:Monday- Friday 8:30 AM- 2:30 PM + required weekly team meeting (32 hours per week)

Requirements:

• No experiencenecessary. All training is provided.We are passionate about helping people explore a new career as aDSP, orprovideapathway to further opportunities!

• Multilingualcandidateswho speak Spanish, Hmong, Somali,Oromoor American Sign Languageareencouraged to apply.Language skills help usto coordinateservicesand support participation for individuals served

• Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services

• Mustbe authorized towork in the United States without a sponsor visa

• Minimum age requirement is 18years

• Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds

• Ability to withstand 6 or more hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday

• Ability and willingness to assist individuals in activities of daily living including feeding, restroomassistanceand other self-help skills

• Ability or willingness to learn basic computer and technology skills

• This position does not require you to transport individuals
