OVERVIEW
The Wayzata Symphony Orchestra (WSO) is a community-based arts organization located in the Twin Cities. The WSO brings together accomplished and passionate musicians to engage the community with enlightening and accessible concert presentations.
The WSO is seeking a part-time, organized, relationship-focused, tech-savvy, and enthusiastic Development Manager to lead the organization's fundraising and donor engagement efforts. Working closely with the Board of Directors, Managing Director, Publicity Manager, and fundraising volunteers, the Development Manager will help sustain and grow the financial resources that support WSO's mission of bringing outstanding orchestral music to our community.
The successful candidate will be expected to build relationships, connect patrons to the impact of their gifts, and develop strategies to strengthen support from individual donors, foundations, community organizations, and business sponsors.
Location: While much of this work is done remotely, attendance at WSO’s concerts and events is required. Therefore, we are seeking an individual who primarily resides in the metro areas of Minneapolis or St. Paul, Minnesota.
COMPENSATION
The position is a renewable, two‑year independent contractor role (1099) with variable weekly hours and/or seasonal fluctuations, accompanied by a $1,250 monthly stipend ($15,000 annually).
