Catholic Partnership Schools (CPS) is a network of Catholic Pre-K–8 schools serving about 800 students across four locations in Camden and Pennsauken, NJ. Founded in 2008, CPS preserves and revitalizes Catholic education for Camden’s children, with dual-language instruction, Montessori, after-school and summer programs, and partnerships such as a new college math program with Rutgers.

CPS seeks a frontline Director of Development focused on bringing in new revenue. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Director will spend most of their time in the community, building relationships and closing gifts. A small, capable team handles marketing, grant compliance and event logistics.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and managing a major gifts portfolio with clear cultivation and solicitation goals
  
• Identifying and soliciting individual, corporate and foundation prospects
  
• Growing corporate and community partnerships across South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia
  
• Overseeing the foundation grants pipeline and relationships with program officers
  
• Developing an annual fundraising plan and engaging trustees in giving and getting
  
• Tracking progress in Salesforce and reporting results to leadership and the board
  
• Stewarding donors and leading relationship-building at signature events, including the golf outing, Spotlight Awards and Beef & Beer

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of fundraising experience with a record of personally cultivating and closing major gifts
  
• Enthusiasm for frontline work: making calls, scheduling visits and asking for gifts
  
• Foundation and corporate giving experience; grant writing a plus
  
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
  
• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy on a small, hands-on team
  
• Donor database experience (Salesforce preferred)
  
• Commitment to educational equity and CPS’s Catholic mission
  
• Ties to the South Jersey or Greater Philadelphia philanthropic community a plus

This is a full-time position based in Camden, with regular travel throughout South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia.
