Location: Currently based in North Omaha; anticipated transition to Bellevue in the future
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (approximately 25 hours per week)
No evenings or weekends
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
Reports To: CSFP Manager
Help Deliver Nutrition and Independence to Local Seniors
Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Nutrition Delivery & Warehouse Specialist to support our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). This position combines delivery driving, food distribution, warehouse operations, and customer service to help ensure low-income seniors throughout Douglas and Sarpy Counties have reliable access to nutritious food.

What You'll Do
Delivery & Food Distribution
- Safely operate agency vans and box trucks to transport food, supplies, and program materials.
- Deliver food boxes to homebound seniors residing in private homes, apartment communities, and congregate living settings in Douglas and Sarpy Counties.
- Load, unload, and transport food products safely and efficiently.
- Assist with monthly food distributions and curbside pickup operations.
- Conduct deliveries in residential and multi-unit housing environments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to program participants.
- Observe and report participant wellness, safety, or service concerns according to program procedures.
- Represent ENCAP professionally when interacting with participants, volunteers, and community partners.
- Accurately document incidents, accidents, and participant concerns.
- Provide support to the Bellevue Food Pantry as needed.
Warehouse & Inventory Support
- Receive, inspect, unload, and properly store food products and supplies.
- Prepare food boxes and materials for distribution and delivery.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely. Training and certification will be provided as needed.
- Organize, stock, and rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) practices.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and organized storage areas.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
Participant Records & Program Support
- Assist participants with applications, eligibility reviews, and recertifications.
- Maintain accurate participant records and documentation.
- Protect confidential information and follow agency privacy requirements.
- Follow USDA, CSFP, and agency policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to maintain insurability under ENCAP's vehicle insurance policy.
- Ability to safely operate cargo vans and box trucks.
- Experience in customer service, delivery services, food distribution, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Ability and willingness to work from ENCAP's current North Omaha location and transition to Bellevue as program operations evolve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating box trucks, cargo vans, or similar delivery vehicles.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Inventory management or warehouse experience.
- Experience working in food assistance, nonprofit programs, senior services, community action agencies, or related fields.
- Experience working with older adults or vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of food safety and inventory rotation practices.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, move, and stack food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull loaded carts, pallet jacks, and distribution equipment.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and reach throughout the workday.
- Repeatedly enter and exit delivery vehicles.
- Navigate stairs, sidewalks, elevators, and uneven surfaces while carrying food products.
- Work in warehouse and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
