Job Summary:

The Manager, Philanthropy is a versatile and organized member of NAF's Philanthropy team who serves as a genuine bridge between the Development and Partnerships functions. This role carries two distinct and equally weighted areas of responsibility: managing a defined portfolio of smaller corporate and organizational partners on the Partnerships side and providing operational and communications support to the Development team on the Development side.

On the Development side, the Manager serves as the connective tissue for NAF's annual Benefit and other events, coordinating across NAF’s external events consultants and our internal Marketing & Communications and Philanthropic Operations teams to keep workstreams aligned. The Manager will also provide first drafts of board reports, stewardship communications, and advisory board support.

On the Partnerships side, the Manager owns a portfolio of lower-complexity partner relationships, providing these partners with responsive, high-quality relationship management. Working closely with teams across NAF, they will plan and execute work-based learning events, and other engagement activities with assigned partners.

This is a remote role with occasional regional and national travel, up to 25%.

Preferred Educational/Training:

  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, certification, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Project management certification a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in corporate partnerships, nonprofit development, relationship management, event and volunteer coordination, or related fields.
  • Experience managing external partner or client relationships, with a strong service orientation and track record of follow-through.

  • Experience supporting fundraising operations, donor communications, or stewardship programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with work-based learning, advisory boards, or career-connected learning programs a plus.

  • Commitment to NAF's mission and values.
  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to make partners feel valued and well-served with a responsive, professional approach.
  • Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with consistent follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, polished first drafts of donor- and partner-facing content.
  • Ability to work fluidly across two functional teams and serve multiple stakeholders without losing focus or clarity.
  • Calm and solutions-oriented under event-related pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce, Asana, or Smartsheet preferred.
