Sharing God’s Love Executive Director Position Opening

Sharing God’s Love is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director.

The SGL Search Committee is looking for a person with leadership abilities who will be totally committed to the mission of this Christian outreach ministry. Job responsibilities can generally be completed in 40 hours weekly, but special events may require additional hours to include occasional Saturdays or Sundays. Salary is negotiable and is based on 40 hours per week with vacation/sick leave and additional paid time off for holidays.

The Director should have the following minimum qualifications to be considered for the position:

• - A strong Christian belief as he/she will be representing SGL which was started by our local churches whose call was to serve the needy within our community.
• - It is preferable if the candidate resides in one of the zip codes of SGL’s service area, including 29063, 29210, or 29212, but not a requirement.
• - Familiar with resources available in the area.
• - A basic knowledge of general business practice.
• - The ability to communicate with people of different backgrounds in Christian love.
• - Adept in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace software, familiar with social media, and electronic communication.
• - Have good verbal and written communication skills.

The Executive Director will work under the direction of the Board of Directors to:

• - Manage and direct the daily operations of the ministry in a caring and positive way.
• - Work with the Board of Directors to establish policies for the organization.
• - Work with the Executive Committee to develop the annual budget and manage expenditures accordingly.
• - Maintain accurate financial and client records.
• - Oversee maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment.

In addition, he/she will:

• - Be a liaison between the organization and all community leaders and organizations, participating churches, schools, and other human service agencies.
• - Be responsible for organizing special agency events, including volunteer recognition activities, special workdays, and fundraisers.
