Role Overview

The Senior Manager of Campaigns and Events sits at the center of TAP's growth, visibility, and fundraising strategy. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Development, you will take ownership of producing signature events, leading multi-channel fundraising campaigns, and cultivating key sponsor and donor relationships in close collaboration with senior leadership, Board members, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management: Develop and execute an annual multi-channel campaign strategy (e.g., Spring for Small Business® Benefit, Fall for Small Business®, Giving Tuesday, Annual Appeals, matching gifts) to drive revenue, donor acquisition, and public awareness.
  • Performance Tracking & Analytics: Set measurable goals for sponsorship revenue, donor acquisition, retention, and reactivation; utilize data insights to continuously optimize campaign tactics.
  • Individual Giving Pipeline: Partner with the VP of Development to leverage campaigns and signature events to expand TAP’s individual giving program and build long-term donor pipelines.
  • Donor & Sponsor Messaging: Draft compelling appeals, proposals, reports, and impact updates that bring TAP’s mission to life across campaign channels.
  • Events and External Relations: Own the strategy, design, marketing, and execution of high-impact in-person and virtual events that elevate entrepreneur voices and drive meaningful participation.
  • Logistics & Success Metrics: Manage all event outreach, production logistics, vendor relationships, and budgets while setting and tracking attendance and revenue metrics.
  • Donor & Partner Stewardship: Partner with executive leadership and Board members to engage major donors, corporate sponsors, and institutional partners through tailored outreach, briefings, and stewardship.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Identify new prospect opportunities, build warm introductions through regional networks, and represent TAP at external meetings and convenings.
  • Data and Operations: Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to build sponsorship decks, collateral, and event communications that align with TAP’s overarching brand story.
  • CRM & Data Hygiene: Utilize Salesforce and related platforms for prospect management, donor segmentation, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
  • Budget & Revenue Operations: Build and track comprehensive event and campaign budgets; deliver regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to leadership.

What You’ll Gain

  • Strategic Producer: Take our proven playbook and make it your own. You will drive signature events end-to-end, hit your numbers, and see exactly what you built: a gala that fills the room, a campaign that closes the gap, a mailing that drives response. Execution excellence is the job, and the results are yours.
  • Direct Mission Impact: See a clear, direct line between your day-to-day work and real opportunities created for small business owners who are building lasting economic equity.
  • Broad Leadership Exposure: Gain high-visibility exposure across development, marketing, executive leadership, and board relations, building a broad skillset that positions you for continued growth into senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree a plus but not required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in nonprofit event management, fundraising campaigns, development, or external relations with a proven track record of revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex campaigns and signature events from ideation through budget management, execution, and evaluation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and sponsor decks.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms.
  • Enjoys cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors, corporate sponsors, and institutional partners.

  • Generous PTO + 10 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays + office closure between Christmas and New Year's
  • Health and dental insurance
