Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is the housing and healthcare affiliate of Volunteers of America, a faith-based charity. Founded in 1982, the organisation focuses on providing affordable housing and comprehensive healthcare to seniors and other vulnerable populations across the United States and Puerto Rico.
VOANS manages a substantial affordable housing portfolio of over 240 properties, comprising approximately 12,900 units in more than 40 states and Puerto Rico. Its senior healthcare services span 46 programs, which include skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, home health care, adult day services, and the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
The organisation employs more than 3,100 professionals and reports serving over 32,000 individuals annually. Its operational model integrates housing and healthcare services to address the complex needs of its clients, with the stated mission of helping seniors and vulnerable populations live with dignity and independence.
