The Dragonfly Project is a small 501(c)(3) based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Our Adopt-a-State program involves volunteers living across the country who look up obituaries and address envelopes to a surviving family member or friend and sign their names on cards that contain "The Dragonfly Story" (please see our website: www.dragonflyproject.org for more information). These are then part of packet events where other volunteers assemble dragonfly keychains and then put keychains into the signed cards and addressed envelopes that the Adopt-a-State program volunteers sent in. We call these finished, assembled products "packets" and they are then mailed, often arriving to the grieving person 3-4 months after their loss, which is an important time when other family and friends may have moved on, but they are still deeply grieving. We receive many responses from the recipients of these packets expressing how much it meant to them to know someone was thinking of them.

We are seeking someone to coordinate this program, including: Receiving applications and communicating with prospective volunteers about the role, training them via email, assigning territories and tracking this information conducting occasional Google Meet training sessions, and coordinating the territory assignments. This will probably require 3-5 hours most months. To apply, please go to: www.dragonflyproject.org/get-involved
